This week our front wheel hubs for our Iltis10 arrived. The designer Boris Smedek decided to try an new way of construction. This season we will start with a new hub concept. We hope that we reach a vast reduction of weight on the chassis and a better distribution of the effective hub interactions. To exhaust the normal construction limitations, the hub was produced with a FEM simulation. We chose best aluminium, also known from the aviation business. We thank our partner Chiron for the smooth workflow.
Endlich ist es wieder soweit! Der Termin für das Rollout unseres Iltis10 steht fest! Am 20. Mai stechen wir, wie jedes Jahr mit allen unseren Sponsoren und Gästen, in See! Als Auftakt findet die Präsentation des Rennwagens statt und anschließend wird, wie immer mit Vollgas, die neue Rennsaison eingeläutet!
The one who is working hard has to assure that the physical well-being doesn't come too short. Here at the lake is seems clear to finish a hard working day with a cultivated barbecue. Due to the fact that our new workshop at the Seerhein offers an inviting wooden terrace our barbecue evenings become a highlight. Thanks to the barbecue grill manufacturer THÜROS, who is known for its sophisticated premium grills made in Germany, we are now able to celebrate our leisure-time on a high standard. Racing Team wieder neue, motivierte Mitarbeiter aus allen Fachrichtungen. Wer
das Team genauer kennen lernen möchte, hat am Dienstag den 23.03.2010 die
Möglichkeit Fragen zu stellen, unsere Räumlichkeiten zu besuchen und erste
Bauteile vom neuen Rennwagen zu betrachten. Um 17.30 Uhr wird im F007 eine
kleine Präsentation stattfinden, um euch das Team, den Rennwagen und die Disziplinen der Rennveranstaltungen,
genauer vorzustellen.

This week we received our intake system. The company Visiotech manufactured the air inlet for our engine in a selective laser sinter process out of polyamide. Due to the limited space in the available rapid prototyping machine the assembly was split into pieces. The designer Michael Sixt is looking forward to join the parts with special adhesive. Am Freitag, den 5. März war das Elektronik-Team des BRT zu Gast beim ePLAN Vertriebspartner Morath Automatisierung. Unsere Elektronikentwickler wurden hierbei in der Konstruktionssoftware ePLAN Electric P8 unterwiesen. Nach der eintägigen Veranstaltung sind wir nun in der Lage unseren neuen Rennwagen elektrisch zu konstruieren und dokumentieren. Wir bedanken uns bei ePLAN und Morath Automatisierung vielmals für die Unterstützung.
Our teammebers Dominik Häßler and Lukas Graf had the chance to pic up the new frame, welded at Andreas Hettich GmbH & Co. KG. The new frame has a weight of 28Kg and a torsional stiffness of over 2000Nm per degree. This is an amazing improvement of about 60% compared to last year. Ab heute steht unser Iltis06 zum freien Verkauf. Das BODENSEE RACING TEAM trennt sich aufgrund von Platzproblemen von dem ersten eigenen Rennwagen.
