This week our frame took the last conditioning in the halls of our partner company Wagner GmbH. Now, that the powdering is completed, the Bodensee Racing Team starts with the last settings until the Rollout on the 20th May. The bodywork is set up with large and energetic steps. Every day we're screwing in our containers to stay on schedule. Our gratitude goes to the Wagner GmbH, thanks to which we are able to concetrate on the last polishs from now on. The advance sale of the tickets for the party on the "Bodensee"-ferry is going to start in the next days. We are looking forward to show the result of our work to many of you...
The time has come: the pedals of the Iltis10 are set up! The innovation about them is, that the position of the pedalbox can be changed from the outside. For that we placed it on an external rail, which is much more easier and will safe a lot of time. The designer Gregor Mauerlechner has forced up the dynamic stiffness so that the driver gets a better feedback. With a progressive breaking effort characteristic we'll reach a maximum deceleration with TRG-Brakes, also known from the kart-series. The new assembly of Anika Graf permits to change the breaking effort allocation while driving with the help of a brake balance adjuster. Seit heute steht der Iltis09 auf dem Stand von NDI Europe auf der Stuttgarter Messe Control. NDI ist spezialisiert auf 3D-Vermessungen. In Echtzeit wird dort unser Iltis vermessen. Zu bestaunen ist das ganze noch bis Freitag.
The Bodensee Racing Team resides in the last preliminaries for the upcoming season 2010. The car already endued more and more contours outside the CAD. For that the frame of the Iltis10 will be annealed after the complete weldings next week before we will come to the last bodywork assignments. With a lots of new concepts and our full obligation we are hopefully looking forward to a successfull year 2010.
With our this year's front axle gear journals we succeeded one more progress; because of the slender parts we hope for a loss of weight about 50% in comparison to the last season. Our partner supports us with this premium product, wich worked without any defect in the last season's races. Because of the material-sponsoring we have the possibility to use our budget in another division of our team. We thank our Partner Schaeffler Technologies GmbH & Co. KG for the great support.
